About the artist

Doug Philbrook, is an abstract artist and musician. His artwork is driven by process and is non-objective, it is influenced by shapes and colors that he sees in everyday life. His work is created using acrylic paints on canvas, brushes, palette knives, sponges, rags and everyday household items like; wallpaper brushes, dish cleaning brushes and combs. His wife, Karen, motivated Doug to begin painting, and you will see artworks that reflect her extraordinary artistic influence. Doug says "painting is a creative process, allowing me to make original pieces that I hope you will enjoy."
